The body of work titled “These 5 Years” is an exploration of grief and rebirth, a visual and spiritual memoir of the 5 years that followed my father’s passing. It is a testament to the profound, and at times brutal, necessity of getting lost in order to be found.

The project is rooted in the physical and metaphorical act of wandering—a quiet, solitary pilgrimage into the stark beauty of the desert. This setting, with endless horizons and eery silence, became both the canvas and the crucible for a journey of self-discovery that I had not anticipated, but desperately needed.
