The Process
Most of my projects begin with a pencil and paper. When I am brainstorming and exploring the possibilities of unique marks, I would rather not have to deal with software or fonts just yet.
This image is showing my next step, vectorize artwork and begin to play with composition and fonts. Although I usually throw away my first ideas for a brand, I felt strongly about the choice of the ancient sculptures to represent VESSELS.
The Invite
From the beginning of working through the look and feel of the brand’s identity, I knew I wanted the tangible texture of clay and imperfections to be integrated into the visuals.
From the invite to the grand opening, to the clay coin keepsake, the client agreed that we should leave a lasting impression with every touch of the brand.
